Do you already have a curtain rod or track installed?
Where to install your rod or track
Extend 6–15" past the window on each side
Measure from the outside edge of the window frame. Extra width lets the curtains stack away from the glass and helps the window feel larger.
Install 6–10" above the top of the window frame
For a wall-mounted rod or track, placing it higher creates a taller, more finished look. Keep the hardware level across the window.
Using a ceiling-mounted track?
Mount the track to the ceiling instead. When space allows, still extend the track about 6–15" beyond each side of the window frame.

How We Define Curtain Width
Your order width is defined differently depending
on the selected header style. Use these quick guides
to understand the width shown in your recommendation.
Finished Width
For Pinch Pleat and Ripple Fold, the recommended width is the finished width after the pleats or folds are made.
Flat Curtain Width
For Back Tab, Rod Pocket and Grommet, the recommended width is the curtain measured flat from one finished side edge to the other.
